Promote human resource cooperation between Vietnam and Japan

(LĐXH)- On April 9, at the Headquarters of the Ministry of MoLISA, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung received Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio to congratulate the end of his term in Vietnam.

Speaking at the reception, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung thanked and congratulated the Ambassador for a very successful term in Vietnam.

The Minister said that the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan has never been as good as in the current period.

That relationship is not only about politics, economics and culture, but the cooperation are increasingly expanding and deepening in substance, especially cooperation in training and human resources.

In particular, 2023 marks 50 years since Vietnam and Japan established diplomatic relations, and is also the time when relations between the two countries enter a new phase.

At the event, Ambassador Yamada Takio shared that during his 4 years working in Vietnam, he and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam have actively and closely coordinated with the MoLISA and achieved good results, based on the foundation of Vietnamese human resources.

In particular, Japan always appreciates Vietnamese workers for their diligence and hard work.

Ambassador Yamada Takio informed that Japan has received a very large number of Vietnamese workers to work after the Covid-19 epidemic.

According to statistics by the end of 2023, there are about 570,000 Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Japan, the majority of whom are interns and specified skilled workers. This workforce contributes greatly to Japan's socio-economic development.

Ambassador Yamada Takio hopes that in the coming time, the two sides will expand cooperation in training human resources in Vietnam in new sectors such as semiconductors, high technology, IT, business administration... Because Japan highly values potential of Vietnamese workers in these fields.

Ambassador Yamada Takio also mentioned promoting the signing of the Agreement on Social Insurance that the Governments of the two countries are discussing.

In addition, Japanese businesses are currently increasing production expansion in Vietnam, so Ambassador Yamada Takio requested the MoLISA to create conditions for granting work permits to Japanese experts, managers, and workers… came to work in Vietnam./.
